I must say, I was less than impressed by the dismal selection of ray guns in the armory. Kids these days just can't hold charges in their digon-suspension handguns the way they used to. Not since the rebellion, at least. That's when everything changed. The dark rebellion was rising once more, threatening to take the land and claim it as their own.
"I remember ferrets. They were good fun," said a raspy voice.
The owner stood up. He had an eyepatch and a gold tooth, but he reminded her more of that crazy dude from Jaws than a pirate. An "arr" bellowed from his throat, and now I knew that he was for real. Yes, he was real, I would say, I thought it was a character.
Just then, a cop jumped out of a bush and arrested all 12 deviants for having grossly illegible handwriting. Thankfully, they were acquitted, thanks to the content of said writing. The press were all over it, but their innocence was obvious. Nobody knows about their past, their struggles and all everybody cared about is what they're doing right now, right then. At least, that's what the fortune cookie told me.
