Obligatory Ice Storm Picture by CaptainQuirk Obligatory Ice Storm Picture by CaptainQuirk
So, yeah.  There was an ice storm.  We lost power for 18 hours, which is LUCKY because there are still people who don't have power restored after 36 hours. >.>  By the way, when you lose your electricity at the darkest time of the year, it's REALLY dark.  Also, a house without heating gets cold fast.  Don't take it for granted that you have a warm place to live.  I mean, I knew that, but this was a punch-in-the-face reminder.

Edit: Since this picture was taken, the weight of the ice has really punished the trees.  Some of them are tipped forward almost 90 degrees, like a bendy straw. :iconscaredplz:

Wow, I was lucky to avoid this trouble.  :(  :hug:  I hope you are okay!  (Although since you posted this I suppose you have power again ;) )

I'm okay.  I've been really lucky since the numbers of people in my region without power are going up again and I still have the power on at my house.  I know of people (far away) who are on day 4 in the dark and cold O.o

Yea, we got hit by the ice storm pretty bad. My front tree will probably have to come down and the neighbors back tree has a huge branch that's broken an on our roof. Our townhouse complex has all these beautiful, yet dangerous ice trees everywhere.

My brother still doesn't have power. ;_;

can I just take the 70(22C) degrees in December for granted and trade it with your weather? Just once? D: I want some snow, and we have a fireplace in my house so we can just huddle around it and pretend it's warm enough there while making squealy noises at the snow.

lol, I would love to hang out with you and play in the snow.  But not now, because there is more ice than snow out there, and it's not fluffy snow.  It's like, "lol, I am cement with a low coefficient of friction."

Oh, I have a riddle.  Which pokémon is the best at measuring coefficients of friction?         .... Mew. ^__^
