The Race Against Time“Out of my way!” I scream.  “I’m in a race against time!”

My mad dash towards the door ends abruptly when my feet touch the threshold.  I consult my watch.  No good.  This is no good at all.

I look back down the long hallway that stretches to the far side of the house.  My housemate stares at me and blinks.

“Are...you...okay?” she asks.

“No, I am not okay!”  I snap back.  “I am trying to race against time.”

A puzzled expression crosses her face.

I'm making a Monsterville game. This is one of the backgrounds. It took me all day, until a quarter to three pm, to get this right. I have at least 50 more images like this left to do.

Then comes the items, the characters, and then I can start programming. Was aiming for an October 15 release.

...Challenge accepted.

This looks a lot like the background from the music video. I think consistency is a good idea. However speaking of consistency, I'm also glad that not every pumpkin and vine are the same.

I'm so excited to play this game!! =)

Each pumpkin and vine are hand drawn. There is zero copy-pasting happening here.

Although, I think I need to redo the leaves since I looked at my garden again and the leaves aren't exactly accurate.

:faint: So draining. I set my goal to do ten pics like this each day. I am working on the second one and I am about to DIE in loneliness and frustration. I have so much admiration for real artists who can, you know, do stuff.

How about I release this game for October 2012. 2013?

At this rate, that probably won't happen either. O_O It takes me about 4 hours to draw a background. I need 50. And that's not counting characters, items, foreground stuff... :tears:
