Post-NaNo Hello

Wed Dec 2, 2009, 7:09 AM
Hey everyone,

Well, it has been a month. I now have over eight hundred comments to make on this site, so I need to get cracking. Well, soonish.

Finished NaNo with 142, 001 words, putting me in 5th place for the city of Toronto. I am very very proud, but I also have a boatload of edits to make. Oh, and my story is not done! :XD:

But congratulations to everyone everywhere who took this challenge on. It is a daunting task, so so as long as you just gave it your best, you are awesome. :)

The WriMos (NaNoWriMo participants) of the world have restored my faith in humanity, so I'm just going to ride that high for as long as I can before dealing with any Real Life stuff. But deal with it I must. Here is what else happened to me this November.

I worked on a film shoot. Tiring as hell, but definitely what I want to do with my lifel

Also, I am part of a start-up animation company, We started out great, but there is so much to worry about - things you don't even imagine that need to be made official and registered and blah blah blah red tape. So before we can make any more of our colourful cartoon progress, we need to deal with black and white, if you get what I mean. Stupid Real Life.

Many things have happened, so I will get to you guys when I can. Promise! Now off to clean my room...

Anime Cosplay Suggestions

Journal Entry: Sat Nov 21, 2009, 9:35 AM

Hey. I'm doing a group cosplay (four girls) and I need some suggestions. Time is not an issue since this is for Anime North (6 months away), but I can't think of a good series.

I want something where the characters have distinctive costumes (as opposed to, say, school uniforms that could go on anyone).

Me
- tall
- chunky
- curly dark hair (but I have wigs: longish purple, very long dark red, short blue, and short blonde)

Friend 1
- average height
- very short light brown hair
- averse to anything overly girly and could pass for a boy

Friend 2
- short
- small frame
- longish wavy light brown hair

Friend 3
- average height
- large but not as large as me
- long blonde hair

Okay, any ideas there?

A NaNo Request

Fri Nov 6, 2009, 3:02 PM
Hey guys. I'm taking a short break from the wild and wordy wilderness that is NaNoWriMo. I want to ask a question of you all. K? It's srs bznz. They're offering free publishing for the winners again, so if I post my story on DA, will you please help me edit it?

I know most people don't read, but if you don't mind it and you have some spare time, would you please help me out? I have never had a book published before (well, not on purpose, but that's a long story) and I want it to be great.

This story, "The Night Prince" is partially a love story and partially a mystery. I am fairly new to both genres. In addition to which, this story is set in a historical time period (nothing specific, just old) so the text and especially the dialogue will be antiquated.

Rather than me telling you what I was going for (because, for the most part, I don't even know), can you please just read it, or read a chapter here and there, and tell me what it does for you? Thank you very much.

NaNoWriMo etc

Wed Oct 28, 2009, 1:11 PM
Hey, all.

It's been a while since I posted anything - a while for me anyway. I have risen from a pile of half-finished sketches and still-to-upload photos. There may or may not be anything for a while since it's NaNoWriMo!!!!!!

I'm CaptainQuirk on that site too, if anyone wants to be buddies.

Life has been kind to me as of late. Tomorrow I meet with some people I haven't seen in ages. Since high school they've completed animation school, and we may all move on to make beautiful cartoons together.

:iconyayzplz:

Also, I'm going to TWO Halloween parties. :pumpkin:

What else, what else? Nothing, but I'll be back to spam you again soon. Take care now . :3
